Google Ads server-side tracking moves the conversion signal from the browser to your server — sending Google Ads conversion data via a server-to-server connection rather than through a browser-side JavaScript tag. This approach bypasses the two most significant technical barriers to accurate browser-side conversion tracking: ad blockers (which block JavaScript tags from loading) and browser privacy restrictions (Safari ITP, Firefox ETP, iOS ATT) that limit cookie lifespans and cross-site tracking. When conversion data is sent directly from your server to Google Ads, it arrives without interference from the user's browser environment, producing more complete and more accurate attribution. Adslytics implements Google Ads server-side tracking using the Google Tag Manager server-side container, deployed on Google Cloud Platform (or alternative cloud infrastructure), with server-side Google Ads tags configured to receive events from your website's client-side data layer and forward them to Google Ads. We configure the server container, set up the Google Ads conversion tag in the server environment, implement the necessary client-side tagging to route events to the server, handle user data hashing for enhanced conversions, and validate the end-to-end flow using GTM server-side Preview mode.
