GA4 custom events address the tracking requirements that fall outside GA4's automatically collected and enhanced measurement event set. Every business has interactions that are specific to its product, service model, or user journey — and these are often the interactions most closely correlated with business outcomes. Custom GA4 events start with a requirements mapping session: we document every interaction you want to track, the business question each event answers, the parameters required to make the event analytically useful, and the data sources (data layer, DOM, API response) that will provide those parameters. From this mapping we produce a custom event specification that drives both the GTM implementation and the GA4 custom dimension registration. Implementation covers the full GTM build: custom triggers (element visibility, custom event data layer pushes, timer-based, or JavaScript-based), custom variables for parameter extraction, and GA4 event tags with full parameter mapping.
